March 7, 2005 - Alter is please to announce that Robin Cai is joining Alter Trading.

Robin is joining Alter to head up its first overseas office in Shanghai, China. Robin comes to Alter after 13 years experience with C and L Associated, an exporter of scrap to China. Robin was instrumental in developing C and L as a reliable and creditworthy trading partner for many scrap exporters in the United States, including our company.

Robin is a native of Qingdao (formerly Tsingtao), China and has lived in the United States for many years.

She has an extensive knowledge of business in China and will be a great asset to Alter as we further develop our business in that country. Initially Robin will spend two months getting to know our company. She will spend time in our facilities increasing her skills in metals identification and shipping procedures, and time at our St. Louis support center.

In late spring or early summer Robin will relocate to Shanghai, China, and inaugurate Alter Trading-Shanghai, the company's first overseas office. This is an exciting time for Alter, as we welcome Robin and the great opportunity we have together in building on the great organization we already have.
