Originally owned and operated as a metal recycling facility by LaChance Industries in the early 2000’s. In 2007 Reliable Recycling purchased and operated the business until the summer of 2010 when Alter Trading Corporation purchased the business.

The Gladstone facility purchases and processes all types of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous metals, E-Scrap, Lead Acid Batteries, and Catalytic Convertors. Container placement and pickup services are also offered.

The yard follows regulatory, quality, environmental management guidelines and is ISO 9001:2008, and 14001:2004 certified.

Located in the beautifully forested Upper Peninsula of Michigan is Alter Metal Recycling's Gladstone facility. Originally owned in the early 2000s by LaChance Industries, it was bought and operated as a Reliable Recycling facility in 2007. In the summer of 2010, Alter Metal Recycling bought the Reliable yards. The Gladstone Facility is the only Alter yard operating in Michigan and has been one of the main suppliers of the Green Bay Facility.
